About Dan

I was born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, the Jefferson Park neighborhood to be exact.  I attended St. Robert Bellarmine for grade school and then Notre Dame High School for Boys in Niles, Illinois.  I graduated from Northwestern University for my undergrad, majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology.  After undergrad, I worked in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Pharmacia Corporation, which eventually was purchased by Pfizer, Inc.  Following Pfizer, I worked for an in vitro medical device start-up called Nanosphere, Inc. in Northbrook, Illinois, helping to bring their VeriGene platform and assays to market.  I also did QA/RA/Database/Part 11 consulting work on the side with my company, DJG Solutions.

Dan’s PictureI then decided to head back for my MBA, where I attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (I couldn’t get enough of NU).  Between my first and second year at Kellogg, I interned with TAP Pharmaceutical Products in marketing.  I loved the experience stayed on part-time while I completed my MBA.  I graduated with three majors: Marketing, Biotechnology, and Technology Marketing.  After my masters, I became full-time at TAP, which in 2008 was rolled into Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. where I still currently work.  My focus has been in online and relationship marketing, including the CRM programs and websites for the brands on which I have worked.

My hobbies include web and design work (hence this site), baseball, bowling, and more recently general aviation.  I earned my pilot’s license in 2008, and have a blog (www.PilotTimes.com) journaling my experiences related to flying.  I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Lisa, since 2007 and we currently live in Volo, Illinois. You can see our wedding website at www.LisaandDaniel.net.
